Description
Overview
The Le Chatelier flask is a graduated glass flask used to determine the density (specific gravity) of hydraulic cement by liquid displacement to EN 196-6 and ASTM C188. The narrow calibrated neck allows the volume change to be read precisely when a known mass of cement is added to kerosene.
Model NL 3017 X / 001. Key figures: Capacity Body – Approx. 250mL.
Applications & Test Methods
Le Chatelier Flask is used for cement, lime and mortar quality control in cement plants and construction laboratories. It supports test procedures to EN 196-6, ASTM C188. Read the method guides: Specific Gravity & Water Absorption of Aggregate (ASTM C127/C128), Le Chatelier Soundness Test of Cement (EN 196-3). Browse all Cement & Mortar testing equipment.
