Description
Overview
The sand absorption apparatus is used to determine the particle density and water absorption of fine aggregate. The conical mould and tamper bring the sand sample to its saturated surface-dry condition, which is the reference state needed to calculate relative density and absorption of fines used in concrete and asphalt mix design.
